Anvils

#Terms

An Anvil is one node: 8 B200 GPUs, 112 cores, 2 TB of memory and 30 TB of scratch. It costs 16,640 USD per month, which works out to 2.89 USD per GPU hour over a 30 day month. Terms run 1 to 12 months and are invoiced at the start of each month.

#What you get

• Jobs with plan: "anvil" start at once. You own the queue on your node.
• Nobody else runs there, unless you lend idle GPUs to Ember.
• 99.7 % monthly availability, with credits if we miss it. See Service levels.
• A phone line for hardware faults, answered at any hour.

#Two Anvils

F1 has two nodes, so it holds at most two Anvils. Two Anvils for one team can run 16 GPU jobs across both nodes on InfiniBand.

#Lending idle GPUs

Turn on lending in the console and idle GPUs on your Anvil join the Ember pool. For every GPU hour of Ember work they run, your next invoice is credited 0.70 USD. When you submit a job, the Ember work on those GPUs gets its 30 seconds of notice and your job starts right after.

#Renewing and ending

Terms renew only if you say so. We ask 21 days before the end. If you let it lapse, the node goes back to the shared pool and your /shared volume stays for 30 days.

#How to sign

Send a work order with plan Anvil and your earliest start. The agreement is two pages. Your node shows up in the console within one business day of signature.
